Pastor Brenus and Double Vision Christian Ministries

Humanitarian Crisis in Haiti
Haiti has faced challenging times for the past three years, marked by political instability leading to starvation, inflation, and widespread unrest. The resulting humanitarian crisis has taken a toll on the lives of the people, causing loss, fear, despair, depression, and frustration. DVCM recognizes the gravity of the situation and is actively involved in providing support and relief to those affected.
Double Vision Christian Ministries (DVCM) stands as a beacon of hope, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the local community. Led by Pastor Brenus Etienne, DVCM has established various ministries aimed at addressing the unique needs of the people amid challenging circumstances.
As a result of the significant growth in attendance, DVCM is faced with the pressing need for additional space to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers.
The Children’s Ministry program was born out of a crisis but has since become a source of light and sustenance for many. In February 2019, Pastor Brenus Etienne found himself surrounded by violent riots and road blockages, with no place to go.

Witnessing the suffering of children, he decided to take action. With the little he had, he began feeding the children in the community. Since then, the program has evolved to include morning sports activities, teachings about Jesus’ story, and providing a hot meal every Saturday. On Sundays, the children engage in Christian lessons and occasionally contribute their voices to the Church worship service. The vision for the future includes establishing a Church-run school. With 75 children currently benefiting from the program and a dedicated team of four paid staff and two volunteers, DVCM is truly making a difference in the lives of these young individuals.
When Pastor Brenus Etienne arrived at L’Estere Christian Church in 2016, there were only 13 members and a few children attending services. Under his leadership, the church has experienced remarkable growth both numerically and spiritually.
The congregation has grown to an average of 150 attendees, with an additional 35 youth and 50 children actively participating. The success has been such that significant restoration efforts have been undertaken to accommodate the growing community. With the expectation of continued growth, plans are already in place to expand the church building in the next five years.
